Dream in Blue, Brittany
Kingery's second CD, is the fulfillment of the promise that was made
so boldly by her first CD, 2013's Edge of the Ocean. Her multiple
talents are evidenced by not only her incredible vocal ability, but
her skills as a songwriter, and her obvious love of making music.
Brittany co-wrote half of the songs on the album. Eight of the ten
songs on Dream in Blue are originals, and there isn't a track that
couldn't stand alone as a single. The two “covers” are songs by
Leo Sayer, and Stephen Bishop. Brittany's renditions are so well
done, that younger listeners will no doubt think they're Brittany's
own songs. With her talents now beyond question, Kingery is surely
bound for stardom. You may think you've heard it all from female
artists. Don't make a high stakes bet on that until you've savored
every note of Dream in Blue.
