Highway 1 Band is making big waves across Florida, with ParrotHeads and even in their home County of Brevard. These guys bring the party and laughter where ever they perform. Tea loves to say " Come out and join the Party" just before every gig. Tea has also repeated " We are here for a good time with friends ". It is all about the music and entertaining their guests with these two. Joel has stated " We could not do what we love without our friends,family and our fans ( Tea always jumps in with "Yea ,our Fans - Thank you") for supporting us. These two have great stage presentation with each other , Because they enjoy playing together and sharing laughter with their fans. When you see these two on stage word playing and sound bouncing around you find that you have joined the party. I have been lucky to see them in different settings from Tiki Bars to Restaurant decks and even a Ball room private party always feeling like I am part of the fun show. Scotty Searls (drummer) added that little extra personality along with his great beats. These three up for Brevard Live Magazine Entertainer of the Year award was no shock to me. They can pull off a show with two or three... The show becomes a party no matter what as long as the marque says " Highway 1 Band " tonight........

Cocoa Beach Boys Joe LaBella was nominated for Favorite Miscellaneous ( Percussion) Award. Joe said "What an honor just to be nominated among such great talent". Well Joe didn't win it this year and received a warm "Thank You Joe LaBella" from the winner Randy Forrest. That was very heart warming for all in the Trop Rock crowd. Ted the Shred and Joe Labella of the Cocoa beach Boys help add that extra push that put Trop Rock in the BMAs.

I was lucky enough to join the Boys on the Red Carpet and have my photo taken with such talent that are making waves in the Trop Rock world.

I also joined Joel Cook and Tea on the Red Carpet for a photo op. It was a million dollar moment being with such talent knowing we were all just happy Highway 1 Band was on the ballot. This before the BMAs ceremony shot shows our smiles for Trop Rock and Highway 1 are here. As Tea said " Red Carpet Baby".
There are some moments when we are so excited that man has landed on the moon and Jimmy Buffet is coming to town that bring us a lot of press and anticipation that we forget what can happen in our own community. I would love to send a big Thank You out to Hieke Clark of Brevard Live Magazine , Highway 1 Band and the Cocoa Beach Boys for a wonderful evening of entertainment with a new road to Trop Rock. Brevard Live Magazine has really put on a great local awards venue that brings the fans and artists together in a beautiful Red Carpet eventful evening.
