| | Bl  ending their unique musical backgrounds is the key to Tom and Michelle's success. Between them, they have appeared with Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famers, Motown Legends and Country Music Superstars including: Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Brenda Lee, The Platters, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Drifters, Lee Greenwood, The Coasters, The New Christy Minstrels, comedian Bill Cosby and more. In 1996, Tom and Michelle left their successful careers in Nashville, and headed to Myrtle Beach for the summer, performing as "Latitude", the house band at a local resort. That "summer job" changed their lives. Working TOGETHER for the first time and falling in love with the coastal lifestyle (and with each other), they soon realized this was the life they were supposed to be living. They began writing songs about their new lifestyle and their new dilemma. They wanted to keep their toes in the sand. But, summer was coming to an end.... and Nashville was calling. Then, it happened.
The vacationers began taking the music home with them. It reminded them of the carefree days they spent at the beach. They didn't want to lose that feeling. And, they wanted their friends to have it too. Tom and Michelle's music had gone viral. They had literally "written their way" into the life they had dreamed of. Today, the duo tours worldwide while making their home in Pawleys Island, SC
They are 5-time TRMA National Duo of the Year. Michelle is 7-time TRMA Female Vocalist of the Year They have released 5 CD's on the Independent Record Label, "Anchorline Music".
In recent years, the pair has returned to their musical roots with a series of popular concerts dedicated to their musical mentors. |
