OK,this is admittedly weird. Why the hot dog cart?
No, I won't pull an El Chapo move and sneak a hot dog cart filled with contraband across the Mexican border to Tucson Friday when Sunny Jim joins me for a show in the Continental Ranch area (BYOB/chair/ munchies, sugg donation $20/person, reservations txparrots@comcast.net)
And no, it's not because Sunny Jim has a smash trop-rock hit with a song called "Chili Dog". It IS because THIS SATURDAY in Phoenix, courtesy of hosts Captain Tom and PJ, you'll sing along to that touching, heartfelt song while enjoying Jumbo-Quarter-Pound-All-Beef gourmet dogs, complete with all the fixin's, included with your sugg donation of $25 for the artists! These are no ordinary hot dogs, but from the legendary JP's Doghouse. While I slap on some "Guacamole", Tom and PJ will also provide bottled water and veggie sandwiches if requested, so just BYOB/chair and be there by 6PM to eat! HURRICANE RELIEF....WANT TO HELP?
BEST thing about Sunday's San Diego show wasn't the gorgeous venue, the sellout crowd of 125 friends ("Casa Tortoog"s biggest ever show!) nor the songs from us Tres Amigos and special guest Rob Mehl. It was simply the fact that we could send our buddy Kelly McGuire back to his flood-ravaged neighborhood in Houston with a large wad of cash to help those who helped him.
During the show, Kelly spoke of a local church whose members went door to door, volunteering their time, tools and manual labor to help strangers in need. There was even a small kid in the group, like others helping to rip out drywall and assist Kelly when he was overwhelmed with flood damage. All at no cost. Kelly told us what a relief it was, and how moving it was to see stranger help stranger. Now thanks to you guys, he gets to knock on their door and help them fund their continued efforts for others who still need help.

We'll have everyone's arrival schedule on Tropic Air and you'll receive an email confirmation from Sandy. You'll pay for your Tropic Air flights when you arrive in Belize City. Transfers from San Pedro Airport to Captain Morgans are $20 US and it may be a air conditioned Van or by boat if we have a large group that arrives all together in San Pedro. More to follow on that as well! We're arranging Golf Carts for the tour from Captain Morgan's.
