Mission:
Our
mission is to change the way America recovers from catastrophic
events...one community at a time. We believe that changing the way we
recover will change the way we prepare and respond which ultimately will
improve overall resiliency within communities across America. Please
join us!
Description:
America
Recovers was launched now because of Super Storm Sandy. I had been
toying with an idea to build an organization that would change the way
America would recover from disasters -- and as such would also impact
the preparing and responding efforts as well. Sandy is the catalyst to
share what I have been working on in one way or another since 9/11.
General Information:
America
Recovers will offer courses on recovery planning as well as
preparedness and response geared towards small businesses and faith
based organizations. Additionally, we activate our network to assist in
response efforts such as those we are undertaking in response to
Superstorm Sandy.
All
non-cash donations get delivered directly to families and communities
in need that have been pre-identified and are waiting for assistance.
