The Trop Rock Junkies have a busy schedule coming up between now and the end of the year.  This Saturday November 30th we will be back at the Hideaway Cafe in St. Petersburg, FL for an 8PM concert.  The Hideaway Cafe is the Tampa Bay area's premier listening room.  If you haven't seen a show there, you should check this place out. It's located at 1756 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg.  After that we are off to Atlanta for the Atlanta Parrot Head Club Christmas Party on Dec. 7th.  This will be the first time we have played for the Atlanta PHC members since performing for their JImmy Buffet Concert Tail Gate Party a year and a half ago. The following weekend we are back in Florida for the Tampa Bay Parrot Head Club Christmas Party on Treasure Island.  We have played this event before and there is always a big turnout and lots of fun.  We will take a couple of weeks off and get ready for the big Trop Rockin' New Year's Eve. party.  I have put this event together and hope to make it an annual event with profits going to charity.  It will be at the tropical Magnuson Marina Cove Resort in St. Petersburg.  I have kept the rate very low for a New Year's Eve. event.  Just $49.00 which includes Hors d'Oeuvres, buffet dinner, Champagne toast at midnight, party favors, dancing and music by the Trop Rock Junkies with special guest Michael Nichols.  For our out of town guests and those locals who don't want to drive on New Year's Eve., I have a special room rate of $89.00.  Be sure to enter the discount code IMP before Dec. 12th to get the special rate.  You can find additional information and registration information at http://www.stevetolliver.com/new_years_party.com We hope to see you at one of these upcoming events.  In the mean time.... Keep on Trop Rockin, Steve "Sky" Tolliver Friend on Facebook http://www.twitter.com/troprockjunkies Forward to a Friend Trop Rock Music Awards - Key West The Trop Rock Junkies spent a few days in Key West earlier this month.  Besides playing at the Hog's Breath Saloon, Turtle Kraals and other spots we attended the Trop Rock Music Awards Ceremony at the Margaritaville Cafe.  TRJ was nominated for Song of the Year (Top Down Kind of A Day), Musician of the Year (Colin Ward), Horizon Award (up and coming artists) and a surprise previously unannounced nomination of Songwriter of the Year (Steve Tolliver) which was only voted on by other artists. While we didn't win we are honored to have so many nominations in this organization of trop rock fans and artists throughout the country. Melanie Howe joined the Junkies at the Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West for the Mimosa Morning event.
