| A record breaking week in Key West at Lighthouse Court Mojito Bar for my 11th Annual Songwriters UpClose!!! Thanks so much to all who performed and everyone who came to enjoy the shows. And a huge thanks to Songwriters Island and Sam & Gina for broadcasting live everyday.
There were some very magical moments including Rob Mehl with Legendary guitarist Gil Orr - formerly with the Chantays who made "Pipeline" a hit -- and also played my other fave surf guitar songs.. "Walk Don't Run" and "Apache"! Wes Loper always a favorite - brought a lower Alabama/Nashville friend along, Eric Erdman, who I surprised on stage in the middle of "Idonwannabe" by asking him to do a little rap! He rose to the challenge and brought the house down! We are calling it TropRap! I'd heard him rap to a song the night before at Willie T's where Bobby Summers & Mark Mireles were on stage with me and we finished the night with some free for all rock jam!
