Up here in Western New York we're a hearty folk and take our summertime fun
VERY seriously, basically because we get so little of it. Nary a day goes by where there isn't some concert, festival or event going on. If you can't find anything to do, you are really not looking. One of the newly mined gems in the area is the Buffalo Waterfront with two main areas known as Canalside and The Outer Harbor. If you are looking for the maritime hub of the area, this is it.

You and five friends cruising the canal and Buffalo River on a floating tiki bar. Yes, it floats! Whether it's just a sunset cruise, bachelor or bachelorette party, wedding, (ok, a small one), anything.
The standard excursion is about an hour, or more if you'd like. You can bring your own music, your own beverage and snacks and just cruise canalside to the envy of everyone else around.
