A Message From the Captain

Ahoy my Friends!

Great week here on the island! Hard to believe it is January with temps in the upper 70's.

That's why we live in FLORIDA!!

Sunday I was at La's Bistro in Ormond Beach for the brunch show. Very nice restaurant with a wonderful brunch menu. Carlos and his staff do an excellent job of making you feel welcome.

Funday Monday at Johnny D's was an evening of fun and friends!! We had snowbird friends and locals as well.

Even had a few people dancing!

Wednesday we were at the Anchor in Flagler Beach. Art and his staff did an excellent job of serving up some of the best dishes in the area! Great view of the ocean. It is whale watch season. This is a good place to watch the ocean and enjoy all the Anchor has to offer.

Friday I was at the On a Stick Pop and Daiquiri bar in Ormond By the Sea. Next Friday, Chris, the owner is bringing out a "Mac N Cheese bar" with your choice of 8 different proteins and seasonings. Looking forward to trying it.

Good morning Shipwrecks! This week has been filled with music, fun, and friends. That is just how I like it!! Throw in a little time to work out, golf and relax at home and it becomes a perfect week. This all makes time go way too fast!

Speaking of time, I need to remind myself every now and then to appreciate the good times a little more. One never knows what lies around the next corner of life and I need to take advantage of the good times as much as possible. Life reminds us of this more often as we age as we see ourselves, or those we care about, going through rough times. Stay positive and remember that every day is the present, truly a gift!

Well, our Captain is continuing to work hard this month and has a minimum of four shows a week. That gives us plenty of places and opportunities to drop in on a show for an hour or so to listen to him and spend time with friends. Check out his varied schedule and you may just find that perfect place for you. The ice cream shop in Ormond Beach is a cozy little place to relax and listen to music, and you can always get dinner and drinks at Johnny D’s and the Anchor. This month he is even playing at a Sunday Brunch at La’s Bistro on Nova Road! There is something for everyone right now. I hope to see you soon! Ima
